Fort Smith Heritage Foundation - Clayton House
Honorary/Memorial Brick Campaign
Honor or remember a loved one, recognize a
favorite organization, or simply show your family's support
of Fort Smith history.

At left, Bill Kirk, long-time member of the Fort Smith Heritage Foundation, stands in our new gazebo and displays the 8" x 8" brick, one of two sizes available in the engraved brick program. Bill is honoring his grandfather, M. C. Burke, who owned the Burke Brothers Brick Company and paved Fort Smith roads with brick in the early 1900s.
This new program to provide needed landscaping to the Clayton House lawns and support for this museum's future is a perfect gift idea. By clicking here, you can download and print a form to enter the names you would like engraved on a brick that will be placed on the Clayton House lawn. Your form may be mailed to the Clayton House.
Your gift of an engraved honorary or memorial brick will:
highlight the landscaping around our new gazebo,
create handicapped-accessible paths to the gazebo and herb gardens,
help preserve the gazebo (built in 1997 as a tribute to Polly Crews, Art Center Director) and the historic house museum (circa 1882),
support our educational programs, and
help replace the 35-year-old air-conditioning units (new units have been donated; installation will cost several thousands of dollars).
